Beginning in September 2019, we added dozens of new pupils, with more enrolling throughout the school year. Today we have pupils not only from the village of Plavecký Štvrtok and the surrounding area, but also from countries of the European Union.

  • Our primary school emphasizes languages, communication or sports in its educational program focused on total inclusion, but also new subjects such as Science and Arts and Culture. Science connects, extends and promotes pupils‘ knowledge across the whole spectrum of school subjects, such as mathematics, history, languages, physics, geography, biology… and brings and consolidates pupils‘ knowledge and skills through an activating, modern and inclusive methodological approach. The Art and Culture curriculum connects not only theory and practice, but also links and consolidates knowledge and competences across several subjects such as: art, design, ethics, philosophy, history, geography and mother tongue or foreign language (English, German, Hungarian, Romani). At the same time, it promotes self- and national awareness, the world, its culture, or art in the overall context of a foreign language.
  • We support every child’s talent, whether it is talent in sports, music, dance, theatre or languages, but also in mathematics, literature or science.
  • We prefer an individual inclusive approach. We use modern interactive tools, modern and reformist approaches in Slovak language, Science, and Arts and Culture. In addition to the pedagogy of Margaret Rasfeld, we also use the FIE – Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Method, which focuses on mediated learning, and VEU – Highly Effective Learning.
